What sets the value
Value, in order
- Colour. The deciding factor. Toward pink and red, vivid but not dark.
- Size. Larger fine stones are rarer. Compare millimetres, not only carats.
- Clarity. Topaz is usually eye-clean. Visible inclusions lower the price.
- Cut. Even colour across the face, with no washed-out centre.
- Treatment. Unheated is valued higher. We always disclose it.
Care
- Hardness 8: suited to everyday wear.
- Avoid hard knocks; protective settings for rings.
- Warm soapy water. No steam or ultrasonic cleaning.
- Store away from strong, prolonged sunlight.
